Dear Patients and Families,
We are excited to update you with the most recent mandate from Governor Dunleavy, dental offices have been authorized to begin seeing patients on a limited basis. At this time, our priority is to see the patients in orthodontic treatment whose appointments were cancelled in March and April. Unfortunately, some appointments will still need to be postponed for the time being, we are doing our best to communicate with those patients in a timely manner.
We will be operating at a reduced capacity with additional time in between patients to account for the increased screening and sterilization procedures required. We have an additional day of the week that we will be seeing patients to accommodate everyone as timely as possible. Going forward, we do have a few new protocols we would like to make you aware of:
- Once your appointment is scheduled, we will email you an electronic health screening consent that must be completed prior to your appointment.
- On the day of your appointment, please call the office when you arrive in the parking lot. We are limiting patient traffic in the door at one time and will let you know when to come inside.
- Upon entry to the building you will be greeted by one of our technicians for a verbal health screening and to take your temperature. If the patient is a minor and a guardian would like to be present at the appointment, we will also take the guardian’s temperature. If the guardian is comfortable waiting in the car after the screening in complete, we urge you to do so.
- We are using universal masking and ask that you wear one to the appointment. Additionally, please adhere to physical distancing of six feet between people whenever possible. Our new protocols should also help to reduce the chance of encountering another patient in the halls.
We still ask that if you have traveled within two weeks, you are ill (or have been in the last two weeks), currently have a cough, or have been in direct contact with anyone exhibiting such symptoms, please do not schedule an appointment.
We are saddened that this pandemic has caused us to forgo some of the interactions we enjoy so much with our patients and their families. We know however, that this will not be forever and look forward to the day that we are again able to see your smiling faces and you see ours! Although the office atmosphere you have come to expect from us has changed, we assure you our commitment to the highest quality orthodontic care has not.
We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
Warmest regards,
Dr. Koropp and Team
