We pride ourselves on the longevity of our staff members and our ability to relate with patients of all ages. Whether you need help understanding your insurance or finding an appointment with your hectic schedule, we are here for you. You can feel confident about the level of care you receive by knowing that our team is dedicated to furthering our knowledge and expertise in the field of orthodontics. We stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses through the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and Ortho 2 Practice Management Software.

Tracie.jpgTreatment Coordinator

Tracie has been a part of our team for seventeen years. She worked as an assistant and lab technician for twelve years after graduating from the UAA Dental Assisting Program, and is a Certified Dental and Orthodontic Assistant. After our longtime treatment coordinator retired, Dr. Koropp knew Tracie was the perfect person to fill her shoes. Tracie’s experience as an assistant, along with her compassion and empathy, helps lead our patients down their new path to a positive experience in orthodontics. She anxiously anticipates the positive transformation in a patient’s self-confidence and seeing first-hand the proof that smiles change lives. In her free time, Tracie enjoys time with her family and two children, as well as photography. She also enjoys positively impacting the lives of young girls through coaching middle school comp basketball. She lives the motto, "The goal isn't to live forever, it is to create something that will.”

Katie R

Katie-R.jpgMarketing & Scheduling Coordinator

Instrument sterilization and lab work were among Katie’s first duties during her high school employment at Koropp Orthodontics. Upon her 2009 UAA graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, she joined our team full-time with a new role as marketing and scheduling coordinator. Katie enjoys the upbeat atmosphere of an orthodontic office and loves marveling at the before and after photos of our patients’ beautiful smiles. Her incredible creativity has her continually on the search for new contests and activities to keep the interest of our patients and their families, and she would love to hear your input for new ideas. Spending quality time with family at their Big Lake cabin and playing with Chopper, a.k.a. Chippy Chop the Boston Terrier, are ways she enjoys spending time outside the office.

Tracey.jpgOrthodontic Assistant

Everyone enjoys a little southern charm, and we have our own Georgia girl to brighten our office. Tracey enjoyed orthodontic assisting for her first three years with Dr. Koropp so much, that when her husband retired from the Air Force, she returned to do her part in creating beautiful smiles. Her kindness and gentle demeanor with patients add to the success of Koropp Orthodontics.  Raising two teenage girls gives her the unique ability to bond with our teenage patients. In her time away from the office, she enjoys camping, gardening, photography, and spending time with her family.

AllyOrthodontic Assistant

With over twenty years of orthodontic experience to add to our practice, Ally arrives each day with a contagious smile and a positive attitude. We all count on her to make us laugh, and she always delivers! Connecting with our patients on a personal level and sharing in their stories keeps her energized and reminds our patients how much we care about their lives. Three teenage girls keep Ally busy yearlong with hockey and soccer. If all of that isn't enough, you’ll find Ally and her husband at many of Anchorage’s summer festivities as owner and chef of Katya’s Kitchen, a food truck serving the best Philly cheese-steaks around.

Katie-B.jpgFinancial Coordinator

Katie joined our team in 2011 following her graduation from UAA with a certificate in Dental Assisting. After losing her mother to cancer, Katie became an advocate for “Let Every Woman Know,” an organization dedicated to spreading awareness and educating Alaskan women about gynecological cancers. This path led her to the coronation of Ms. Alaska 2015, where she has used her title as a platform to volunteer and give back to our great state! We couldn’t be more proud to support her advocacy. As of January 2019, Katie has transitioned from orthodontic technician to financial coordinator. She is now familiar with all aspects of our office and she is excited to assist our patients in any way that she can!

ChrisLab/Sterilization Technician

Chris recently joined our office as a lab technician and is always a helpful hand when needed in the clinical sterilization area. He meticulously fabricates the majority of our orthodontic appliances and retainers, reducing appointment times and cost to our patients. Chris recently attended a renowned appliance fabrication course in New York and is extremely excited to put his new skills to use. When he is not in the office, he enjoys hiking and working on his computer.
