Scheduling Appointments

Long adjustment appointments are scheduled during school/work hours. Routine adjustments can usually be scheduled any time during regular office hours, during or after school/work. Routine adjustment appointments may vary from a short appointment (20-40 minutes) to an hour or more, depending upon how much the teeth have moved since the previous appointment or if there are any loose or broken appliances. If you do not notify the office of any loose or broken appliances prior to your appointment and our treatment schedule is heavy, we may only be able to perform the routine adjustment. A separate appointment may be needed to repair a loose or broken appliance. At the end of each adjustment appointment, we will schedule a new appointment for your next visit, typically 4-8 weeks later. We reward patients with Koropp Kash for arriving on time, not having anything loose or broken and maintaining excellent oral hygiene.

Broken/Missed Appointments

At the time of your scheduled appointment, doctor and staff time is specifically reserved for you. Broken appointments will lead to delayed treatment progress and may affect the final outcome. Please call our office if you cannot attend your appointment, even if it is five minutes before your scheduled time. If you repeatedly miss appointments without notice, you will be charged a $35 fee.  We know our patients have busy lives, and we pride ourselves on seeing each patient in a timely fashion.  If you are unable to arrive at your scheduled time, please notify our office as soon as possible, as we may have to reschedule your appointment.

h-braces4.jpgInfection Control

Our office follows the most recent Infection Control Guidelines from the American Association of Orthodontists. It has been recognized that the practice of orthodontics, unlike most of dentistry, involves frequent patient contact and non-invasive procedures (treatment that does not cause bleeding). Therefore, some of the infection control techniques here may be different from what you see at your regular dental office.

We sterilize all instruments used in the office, utilizing both dry heat and chemical sterilization to destroy all forms of microbial life. We disinfect all other items used during your appointment that were not used inside your mouth with chemical disinfectants.

Notice of Nondiscrimination

Koropp Orthodontics complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex. We do not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex.

We will take reasonable steps to provide language assistance services to people who speak languages we are likely to hear in our practice and who don’t speak English well enough to talk to us about the dental care we are providing.
